On Friday evening, fire departments and then a towing company had to take care of a kilometer-long oil slick on roads in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district. The oil had leaked on district, state and federal roads between Hof Bergrade in the direction of Grebbin, in the direction of Wozinkel and in the direction of Goldberg and Dobbertin. The fire brigade was initially deployed with four departments from the area. They then handed over the cleaning work to a company in Schwerin. In total it was at least 20 kilometers, those affected said a police spokesman. Police have identified a vehicle owner whose car is believed to have caused the oil spill, the spokesman continued. The cleaning work lasted well into the night.
