Woman dies at the scene of a rush hour accident in East Kilbride

A woman has died in a rush hour crash in East Kilbride.

Emergency services were called to a two-vehicle crash in the Glen Doll area at around 5.50pm on Friday.

One of the drivers, a woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation is currently ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “We were called to a report of a two-vehicle accident in the Glen Doll area of ​​East Kilbride at around 5.50pm on Friday, November 29th.

“Emergency services attended the scene and one driver, a woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.

“No one else was injured and inquiries are ongoing to determine the exact circumstances.”
