Vacation in a tiny house and barrel

Vacation in a tiny house and barrel

Great Kordshagen. When the excavators dug through the huge construction sites at the last tip of Groß Kordshagen in March 2022, some villagers stood on the side of the road and made no secret of their doubts. Understandable, because the community struggled with this place on the Bodden coast between Stralsund and Barth for 30 years and saw several investors come and go for a new camping domicile.

The doubters have fallen silent because the “Prima Resort Boddenblick” has become reality. The Prima Group from Neuruppin invested 13 million euros, three million more than planned, in the system. The portfolio of hotels, guesthouses and holiday apartments nationwide now also includes a camping resort.

Water damage shortly before opening

“We really took all the crises with us for our heartfelt project.” And when we finally wanted to open in the spring, water damage suddenly slowed us down ten days beforehand. In the entire company building, including the restaurant, the entire floor and tiles had to be removed. Even though we’re still arguing with the insurance company, everything is ready now,” says Ronny Rohr, owner of the Prima Group, and adds: “But starting a camping trip in the winter months doesn’t make much sense. That’s why the facility will be properly inaugurated on April 17th.”

Fast 200 spaces for motorhomes etc.

Ronny Rohr is a big camping fan himself. He even comes from Brandenburg in a motorhome to inspect the building and is now standing there where, from spring onwards, there will be space for 195 mobile homes, caravans or cars with a roof tent. On the one hand in the motorhome port, on the other hand for long-term campers.

All pitches have an electrical connection, and half of them also have water and wastewater connections on site. The others can do this on a modern central system, fully automatically, so that their hands always stay clean.

The tiny houses can now be rented, depending on their size, from 90 euros per night.

A few fall campers have already stopped by. You are not the only ones who enjoy the peace and quiet here. Some tiny house owners can definitely enjoy the appeal of going on holiday on the Baltic Sea in autumn. “Others even work here, because the entire site offers secure and fast internet via fiber optics,” says Ronny Rohr.

Holidays in tinys, barrels and mobile homes: a new camping resort opens near Stralsund

After two and a half years of construction and major water damage, the “Prima Resort Boddenblick” is now quickly finished.

35 Tinys sold as holiday and weekend homes

The 35 wooden minis in gray and blue were built right at the beginning, and so the small holiday and weekend houses have long since found their owners (purchase price from 150,000 euros). They are between 18 and 38 square meters in size.

“People from all over Germany have invested. They could choose from three tiny variants, sometimes for two, sometimes for four people. “But they all have a terrace and can now be rented for vacation, depending on the size from 90 euros a night,” explains Jana Winkelmann, head of the accommodation sector, during a tour of the facility. And it’s so extensive that the construction workers doing the final work travel by bike.

The resort also includes a building with a wine lounge and a large spa with two saunas, a relaxation area, a pool bar and billiards. The highlight is the outdoor pool, which is designed as a swimming pond with natural water. Die-hard people could take a dip because the pool is ready.

In addition to several sanitary areas for mobile homes, pitches for volleyball, football and table tennis and children’s play equipment, there is also a house for special use. “We want our guests to decide what we make of it.” “Fitness room, indoor playground or rather a modern office for digital work,” explains the Prima boss.

New campsite in MV: vacation in sleeping barrels

The highlight of the resort are six small sleeping barrels: 4.30 meters long and 2.30 meters wide. Two people can sleep comfortably here. Ideal for those who need a quick overnight stay, such as cycle tourists who can also charge their e-bikes straight away.

A mini market is currently being set up in the company building (with reception and laundromat), which will be open daily. “The villagers are eagerly awaiting the offer, as there are no other shopping opportunities here.” “Our bread roll sale, which we are already testing through the restaurant, is being very well received,” says Jana Winkelmann (50) happily, revealing that the “Boddenblick” restaurant is already open. The hotel manager has been working for the Prima company for seven years.

Digital check-in and electric shuttle to the beach

Anyone heading to the campsite uses digital check-in. A scanner recognizes the car number and the cabinet opens. The friends of the traditional reception are also served. Two groundskeepers take care of everything.

There will be an electric shuttle that will take people to the beach in Zingst and pick them up again.

The Boddenblick resort supplies itself with a solar system and its own well. “Everything was built to the highest energy standards,” assures Ronny Rohr. “From us, guests can borrow e-bikes or electric smarts to explore the area.” There will also be an electric shuttle to Zingst that will take the camper to the beach and pick it up. True to our motto: Everything on board – like on a cruise ship.”
