Dynamo Dresden fights for victory in the top game

The Dresden team were behind twice in the game against Sandhausen, twice they got back up and finally won. This is how the party went.

Dynamo Dresden prepared for promotion in the 3rd football league with an impressive second half. The Saxons won 4-2 in the top game at SV Sandhausen and now have 29 points in second place.

Former Dresden player Dominic Baumann had given the hosts the lead (24′), Christoph Daferner immediately equalized (29′). Shortly before the break, Sandhausen’s David Otto made it 2-1 (42′). After the substitution, Daferner (53′), Vinko Sapina (59′) and Jonas Oehmichen (62′) turned the game around within nine minutes. SV playmaker Besar Halimi was shown a red card in the 87th minute.

The 6,400 spectators in the Hardtwald saw an exciting party in which the presenters dominated the first 25 minutes and led after a deserved header. But Dynamo picked themselves up, equalized and from then on played a game on equal terms. The fact that the Sandhäuser led at half-time was due to a fine individual performance from Jeremias Lorch, who gave the goal scorer Otto a great assist.

The Dresden team came out of the locker room more determined and played in a frenzy after the equalizer. In the following ten minutes the guests managed everything, while Sandhausen could only run after them. After the fourth goal, the Saxons picked up the pace of the game, but controlled it over long stretches and only allowed a few dangerous situations.
