Die Sales figures for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Square Enix hasn’t completely convinced as we know. Significantly, Square Enix has yet to announce sales figures for the game, which marks the second installment in the large-scale remake trilogy.

Things have been going pretty well for the game in Europe in the last few days. As Games Industry’s Christopher Dring reports, the game’s sales figures 268 percent week-on-week increased. The reason for this is relatively concrete.

Dring sees die Nomination for “Game of the Year” at The Game Awards as the reason for this. Other games also increased significantly after their nomination compared to the previous week, but none as meteorically as Final Fantasy VII Rebirth: Astro Bot increased by 61 percent and Metaphor ReFantazio even increased by 172 percent. Elden Ring (38) and Silent Hill 2 (43) also climbed.

“We’re not talking about huge sales figures, but we’re talking about a significant increase,” So Christopher Dring. However, he also points out that sales figures at this time of year increase naturally. Just Christmas business. And so discounts that already existed as harbingers of Black Friday may have helped.

What won’t help in the case of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is most likely DLC. The assigned director Naoki Hamaguchi said a rejection in a recent interview. Instead, the team wants to concentrate fully on the third and final part of the trilogy.
